The breakfast recipes here are heavier as compared to that of South Indian breakfast dishes. They add extra makhhan for extra richness to the dish.
Also, breakfast is a must as I always say.

Is it healthy for everyday menu?
I won't say all recipes here are healthy for everyday menu, but these are the most popular North Indian breakfast recipes we can plan alternatively with some healthy breakfast recipes. At the same time, these are not harmful or unhealthy recipes, but we know if we will eat more rich food every day, i.e, more oil and ghee in a paratha and other fried items, it will add more fat and say belly fat. However, for kids, this may be okay as they are way active and they need more energy in their growing period.
If you are following low carb breakfast to lose some weight, then these rich paratha and poori are a complete "NO" for any meal.

1. Aloo Paratha
This is a common paratha recipe for your breakfast. Aloo paratha is an easy and quick paratha to make. This makes an excellent kid's tiffin box recipe. In North India, this is a popular street food also. See my Dhaba style aloo paratha recipe. Out of all North Indian breakfast recipes, this one is my favorite one.
2. Gobi Paratha (Cauliflower stuffed Indian flatbreads)
Gobi paratha is made with grated cauliflowers or cauliflower rice This is an easy and quick recipe. Also another great tiffin box recipe.
3. Bread Roll
If you have boiled potatoes in the refrigerator, this is a 5-minute breakfast recipe and also a kid-friendly snack. You can keep them in kid's tiffin box also. This is a very common breakfast recipe in North India.
4. Methi Paratha
Methi paratha is a winter special recipe made with fresh green fenugreek leaves. This is healthy, quick and easy also. Another great idea for kids and adults for breakfast or snack or as the main course.
5. Aloo Kachori
Another great recipe out of all North Indian breakfast recipes. This is in fact potato stuffed puffed breads or poori. This is also known as aloo poori. Easy to make. These are soft with little crisp outer texture. Great filling breakfast recipe.
6. Bread Pakoda
This is indeed a popular street food in Delhi and other Northern parts of the country. This is a deep-fried snack. Here bread slices are stuffed with spicy mashed potatoes and coated with gluten-free gram flour batter before deep frying. This is not an everyday breakfast recipe but occasionally as breakfast or snack, this is really great.
7. Tomato Omelette / Besan Chilla
This is a common breakfast item in fact. Easy and quick recipe. Great for breakfast and kids' tiffin box also. This is also known as vegan omelet and a great replacement to an omelet for vegans and a plant-based diet. (who doesn't eat animal products)
8. Aloo Sandwich (Mashed potatoes sandwich)
Stuff breads with spiced mashed potatoes and grill or toast them. In 5 minutes a great breakfast is ready. Quick, easy breakfast recipe and kids tiffin box recipe.
9. Chole Bhature (Indian Chickpea curry with puffed breads)
A divine combination of chole or chickpea curry and bhatura or puffed bread is a traditional dish of Punjab and widely loved in North India and all parts of country infact. This is a great brunch idea.
10. Semiya Pulao (Vermicelli Fried Rice)
Another quick breakfast recipe made with vermicelli or semiya. In north we also call this as Jawa. Great breakfast recipe. But this is not gluten-free because of refined flour or maida
11. Daliya Khichdi (Cracked Wheat Porridge - Savory)
Another great and healthy recipe from North India. Broken wheat or cracked wheat or daliya is a popular item there. People make both sweet and savory dishes with this daliya. To make it healthy ass lots of veggies to the khichdi.
12. Paneer Paratha / Paneer Stuffed Flatbreads
Paneer paratha is again another stuffed paratha recipe. here you can stuff grated paneer into the flatbreads. Spice it up with all regular spices and a delicious breakfast is ready in just 15 minutes. Great for kids' tiffin box as well.
13. Dal Paratha / Lentil Flatbreads
I use leftover dal or cooked dal for this recipe. This is a healthy recipe even for kids. This is again protein-rich paratha recipe for your breakfast.
14. Moong Dal Chilla / Indian Lentil Crepe
Normally dal or lentils are very popular and staple food in North India. Moong dal and palak crepes are extremely healthy breakfast recipes. This is also known as chilla or cheela and one of the popular street food in the North. Great tiffin box recipe also.
