This Mango Mojito is a non-alcoholic summer drink. You can also call this as Mango Lemonade. This is prepared from fresh ripe mango pulp and club soda. Mint and lime juice adds extra punch of refreshment to the drink.

    Virgin Mango Mojito (Non-Alcoholic)

I love mangoes like anything. I mean who doesn't like mangoes. Mangoes are specialities of summer season. We get ripe mangoes only during summer season in India. That is only for 3 - 4 months you will get to see them in market abundantly.

    What Is Virgin Mango Mojito?

Virgin mango mojito is a non-alcoholic twist to the mojito with mango flavor. Mojito is a Cuban cocktail recipe made with white rum (alcohol), sugar, lime juice, soda water, and muddled mint leaves. It's a combination of sweetness, citrus, and mint flavors along with the alcohol. Mojito itself is a cooling summer drink.

When we make mojito without alcohol it becomes virgin mojito or nojito. So virgin mojito is a combination of sugar, lime juice, soda water along with fresh minty flavor. This is a refreshing summer drink.

To add more fruity flavor add any fruit juice to the non-alcoholic virgin mojito. Since mangoes are abundantly available in summers, this is one of the best summer coolers with mango flavor I must say. However, you can also make this drink in any season with mango fruit juice or frozen mangoes. But I prefer it with fresh mangoes only.

Which mango to use for mango mojito?

There are different varieties in the market. The market gets flooded with many varieties during this period. Out of all, I love Alphonso Mangoes a lot. These mangoes are juicy and come with natural sweetness. Very rarely you will get some sour mangoes in these.

However, if you are making this in any other season where you can't have fresh mangoes, you can also take readily available mango juice or even frozen mangoes. Though I have never tried with the other two options yet. I make fresh mangoes.

Apart from divine sweet taste, mango is full in many essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals. This is a rich source of vitamin A.

To make quick summer drinks, I make simple syrup and refrigerate in airtight jar. Whenever I feel like making any juice or any such drinks just add simple syrup with other ingredients and no need to wait for anything.

Again this superb drink has flavor of mint and tangy lemon. You can add lime also to get a strong citrus flavor. While making such minty mojitos just remember to muddle mint 7 - 8 times. But if will muddle more, then the drink might turn bitter.
