Watermelon Mojito (non-alcoholic) is one of the refreshing and cooling summer drinks. This is a must-try summer refresher everyone should try. It's a true thirst quencher in hot summers.
Summer is the hottest season of all six. During summer, days become longer and nights become shorter. The weather is humid, with all-time high temperatures outside.
The summer season is not very loved because of the heat and humid weather. Because of the high external temperature and humidity, our body dehydrates quickly in the summer.
To beat the heat of summer, we all need to cool our bodies first. In this hot environment, we need to hydrate by consuming as much liquid as possible. So, we must rehydrate our bodies with lots of fluids and fruit.
Benefits of Watermelon
We all know that this delicious watermelon is one of the juicy fruits, and 92% of it is filled with water. This is why it’s recommended for summers, which will keep our body hydrated and work to balance the water loss due to excess heat and humid weather.
Even apart from this, this fruit is filled with numerous other health benefits. It’s high in vitamin C (21% of RDI), vitamin A (18%of RDI), potassium (5% of RDI), magnesium (4% of RDI), vitamin B1, B5, B6, and many other nutrients. Also, it has high carotenoid (beta-carotene & lycopene), & citrulline (an amino acid).

Watermelon is significantly linked to this season and is widely available. This is one such fruit that contains more than 92% water in it. This is juicy and sweet. The fruit itself is one of the best summer treats.
Again, when combined with cooling mint and lemon, it makes incredible drinks that refresh. Though I don't like mint, the mild taste of mint makes the drink more soothing and cooling.
How To Make Watermelon Mojito?
This is super easy and can be made in 5 minutes. Just mix all ingredients in a pitcher and mix well. There is a lot of room to add variation to this.
Make Simple Syrup
Mix equal quantities of water and sugar and bring to a boil. Boil until the sugar is dissolved. Cool it at room temperature. If made in large batches, make more in excess and refrigerate.
Puree Watermelon
Cut the watermelon out from the rind. Put watermelon cubes in a juicer or mixer and blend them to a smooth puree. Strain out pulp and seeds with the help of a filter. Extract juice in a bowl.
Assemble to Make Mojito
In a pitcher, roughly crush mint leaves with the help of a muddler.
Next, add watermelon juice and simple syrup. Squeeze out the lemon juice and mix well. Now add club soda and ice cubes.
Garnish & Serve - garnish with some more mint leaves. Serve chilled non-alcoholic mojito immediately.
To make such drinks quickly, I always make simple syrup well in advance and refrigerate it for further use. This saves a lot of time. When you make any juice or drinks, add the chilled simple syrup. You can also make flavored simple syrups.
