Fresh Mango Salsa is a great side dish and a summer special dish. Make this mango salsa aka mango salad with fresh mangoes only. A perfect fruity salad with a combination of sweetness, tanginess, and spicy flavors.

Mango salad is one of my favorite sides. This yummy mango salsa has fresh pulpy sweet mangoes as its main ingredient. And this is sweeter than classic tomato salsa.
Since mango is a summer fruit, you can also say this is a delicious summer salsa. Like other salsa or salads, this is savory and spicy with the natural sweetness of mangoes.
This is naturally paleo, vegan, gluten-free, and oil-free.
Mango Salsa aka Mango Salad
Mango salsa is a delightful and refreshing condiment or salad that combines the tropical sweetness of mangoes with a zesty kick of spices and tangy flavors.
With its vibrant colors and contrasting tastes, mango salsa or mango salad adds a burst of flavor to the table. You can serve them with tortilla chips or add them as a side dish.
Since mango is a summer fruit, this mango salad is my popular choice for summer gatherings, barbecues, or simply as a side dish to the meal.
The base of mango salsa typically consists of ripe seasonal mangoes, diced into small, bite-sized pieces.
The mangoes have a natural sweetness that is complemented by the addition of other ingredients such as red onions, bell peppers, jalapeños, cilantro, and lime juice.
Onions and peppers add a subtle crunch whereas jalapenos add a hint of heat to the salad. All ingredients add their unique flavor creating a well-balanced combination of flavors in the mango salad.

How to Make Mango Salsa aka Mango Salad?
This is an easy recipe and you don't need much effort or time to make the salad. It won't take more than 15 - 20 minutes to make the mango salsa. Let's see the ingredients and procedure to make this salad.
Ingredients:
This salsa is a simple recipe with minimal ingredients and fat-free lemon dressing. This is a no-oil mango salad. The simple ingredients are fresh mangoes, some peppers (any color as preferred), jalapeno or green chili (for a hint of heat), onions, and cilantro leaves. That's all.
To conclude, no fancy ingredients for my mango salsa. However, if you want, you can add some crunchy bites of cucumber also to this. Also, you can add roasted peanuts to add a crunch to the salad. Bell peppers too add crunch to the salsa.
Fresh Mango -
Mango is the main ingredient of mango salsa. So obvious. This is the hero ingredient. This salad tastes great with fresh mangoes only. I love Alphonso mangoes for any of my mango dishes. These mangoes are pulpy, juicy, and sweet.
Bell Peppers -
I have added green & red bell peppers. These sweet peppers add a crunchy bite to the salad. These are again optional and add variations to the mango salsa. If you don't have these, then also you can make your mango salsa tasty. But adding peppers to the salsa gives a crunch and complements the soft juicy mangoes.
Jalapeno/ Chillies-
Jalapeno brings that heat to the sweet and savory mango salsa. Substitute jalapeno with green chili. Add as per taste and heat you can tolerate. In case both of them are not available, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the salad.
Method/ Instructions:
There can be no easier recipe than this. This is simply an idea. Prep the mangoes and other vegetables/ herbs. Then add seasonings and mix all ingredients.
How to store the mango salad?
You can refrigerate the mango salsa for 3 days when stored in an airtight jar. But they may turn mushy and release liquid the longer you store them.
In the refrigerator, they may stay good for up to 2 - 3 days though fresh salad tastes the best. You may chop and prep the ingredients and store them in separate containers. Add seasoning a few hours before serving them,
How to choose the best mango for the salad /salsa?
This is entirely subjective to personal choice when deciding the type of mango for the mango salad. But it will change the flavor of the salad since each variety has its own unique taste profile.
Look for mangoes that are ripe but still firm. Avoid mangoes that are overly soft or have blemishes, as they may be overripe or spoiled. Go for a vibrant color like yellow or orange, and avoid mangoes with dull or greenish skin.
