    What is Shirazi salad?

Shirazi salad is an easy Persian cucumber and tomato salad with herb seasoning and a drizzle of olive oil. This salad is named after a city in Iran and is quite popular on Iranian tables. It resembles Greek salad or Indian cucumber salad, but Shirazi salad is more of a herby flavor.

Making this salad is easy. It takes less than 10 minutes to make this healthy, juicy salad. You also don't need fancy ingredients to make this simple cucumber-tomato salad. Check out my other cucumber salad with corn.

Like many Mediterranean foods, it requires a drizzle of olive oil and lime juice to make it juicy, tangy, and flavorful. Dried mint adds a herby flavor to the salad. However, add chopped fresh mint leaves if you cannot find dried mint.

    Ingredients You'll Need

Cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, fresh mint leaves or dried mint, cilantro or parsley

Extra virgin olive oil, lime juice, salt, and black pepper

    Instructions

Dice cucumber, tomatoes, and onion into bite-sized pieces. Add the chopped veggies to a large mixing bowl. Then, add salt and crushed pepper to taste. Drizzle olive oil and lime juice into the bowl. Now add dried or finely chopped fresh mint leaves (and any other herbs of preference). Lastly, give them a toss to mix everything well. Juicy, crunchy, healthy cucumber salad is ready to serve.
