Crispy Potato Bites For Kids Tiffin Box

    crispy potato bites

If you are looking for some quick and easy tiffin box recipes for kids, some evening snack recipes, some easy finger food recipes for kids then these tiny crispy potato bites recipe is the perfect solution to your search.

When holidays are over and schools reopened the big question for moms is "what to pack in tiffin box for kids?". Ohh for me also.

There are many kids friendly foods especially of their choice. But in the morning it's difficult to manage time for the preparation of tiffin, breakfast etc. And if you are a working mother, I can feel your pain 😉

Kids are normally very choosy when it comes to food and eating. My kid is a fussy eater too. So more concern for mothers.

We need to develop healthy food habits for our kids.

[Update: Hey Mommy, I have complied around 45 - 50 recipe ideas for Kid's Tiffin Box Recipe Ideas. Please read the post here.]

    kids tiffin box recipes

When my son crossed 6 months I started giving him all pureed vegetables, pureed khichdi, porridge. But when he developed taste bud and came to know what food he is eating he became very choosy about foods.

Again year on year their eating habits and choice of food also change. Some years you may notice he loves a particular food and some other day he/she may not like that food at all.

More than anything they need variety. So we need to think about different tiffin box ideas.

I'm going to make another complete guide of healthy tiffin box ideas. Subscribe to my blog for regular updates.

Read about bread roll recipe for kids tiffin box and my another superhit and super liked recipe Cheesy Potato Sandwich For Kids Tiffin Box.

How to make crispy potato bites in 15 minutes?

This potato bite recipe is very easy. Kids need more carbs as compared to adults as they need more energy punch during their growth period. Green veggies look boring to them and they love fast food.

We should brilliantly incorporate mix vegetables into the food they love. But for a change, you can always give them these cheesy potato bites occasionally as a side dish to cover that smaller compartment of the tiffin box.

Here I will specify that these crispy potato bites are good tiffin box ideas for kindergarten and pre-primary kids only as they are too small to handle foods and eat on their own.

So these are those finger foods they would love to eat. But don't give it daily. Just keep on changing variety and make the food interesting. Add veggies, lentils or whatever you feel good for your kid.

Other variations to try for kids tiffin box

If you want to add veggies you can add boiled and mashed vegetables like carrots, green peas, french beans to such recipes and kids will surely love them. Read veg seekh kabab which is made with a combination of veggies and mashed potatoes. Make small patties and make a burger or sandwich with that.

When they get habituated of eating on their own you can slowly increase the quantity and variety to their tiffin box.

Stay tuned and subscribe to my blog to get updates.

There is another easy peasy idea to give paratha sabzi in the tiffin box for kids. And you are a lucky mom if your kid eats vegetables. But that's a good idea to start a good eating habit. I also give paratha or chapati or poori some days with his favorite vegetable stir-fried. But that too when he started pre-primary (at age 4 or so).

These crispy potato bites are really easy to prepare if you have boiled potatoes in the refrigerator. It won't take more than 5 minutes to make these bites

Let's make these cheesy and crispy potato bites. If you don't have cheese with you then also it's okay as long as you can skip this ingredient.

Here I will share another similar recipe of homemade tater tots which are made with almost similar ingredients. And tastes equal yum with some crispier. All these crispy potato bites make easy and quick party snack and perfect quick evening snack also.

Read similar cauliflower tots and broccoli tots for that healthier substitute of these crispy potato bites.

To grown-up kids, you can give "n" no of varieties in their tiffin box. Read my collection of rice recipes which are the best comfort food for your grown-up kid's tiffin box.

Yes in place of breadcrumbs you can add some flour like refined flour/ rice flour. Read my similar post of tater tots here. https://mydaintykitchen.com/crispy-tater-tots-potato-bites/
