This roasted broccoli with garlic flavor is one of my favorite food that I add to my menu very often. There is another way to make these broccoli bites quickly in an air fryer. Here is my air fryer broccoli recipe. If you are not vegan then you can serve them some real parmesan cheese on it.

Nutritional Values & Health Benefits of Broccoli

Broccoli is a cruciferous vegetable that is dark green in color and looks similar to those of the cauliflowers. This is because they belong to the same family. All cruciferous vegetables are packed with lots of nutritions and are healthy super foods.

Broccoli is a low carb vegetable and perfect for a keto diet or even for any other diet. This is perfect for any soups (green goddess soup, broccoli mushroom soup), for appetizers/ snack (broccoli buffalo wings, broccoli tater tots), or for keto recipe (broccoli cheese soup).

Broccoli has many essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. It's a great source of vitamin K & C, B1, B2, B3, B6, folic acid, potassium, magnesium, zinc. This is high in fiber and low in carb. This has numerous health benefits including a healthy digestive system and losing some extra pounds.

    Ingredients of Roasted Broccoli

This oven roasted broccoli is an easy and quick recipe. We don't need any fancy ingredients to make this roasted broccoli. This is a vegan and gluten-free recipe.

Broccoli Florets - Get brighter florets. This is the main ingredient.

Garlic - Use garlic generously. This will enhance the taste and makes the dish flavorful.

Chilli flakes - For spicy flavor. You can also add paprika also in place of chilli flakes

Olive oil, Salt - Essential ingredients for taste.

Tips to Make Perfect Oven Roasted Broccoli

Wash the broccoli properly. Go for brighter green broccoli heads. If you are buying broccoli then plan the recipe on the same day or maximum 1 - 2 days. Otherwise, it starts to turn yellowish in color.

Next chop broccoli head into bite-sized pieces. I cut the bigger florets vertically into two pieces. And leave the smaller ones as it.

In a bowl add olive oil, crushed garlic, salt, and chili flakes. Toss the chopped broccoli pieces with the seasoning mixture. Add garlic generously as this will add flavor to this roasted broccoli.

Now preheat oven at 425°F (220°C) for 2 minutes.

Line a parchment paper on a baking pan. Spread the broccoli florets evenly. Don't overcrowd the sheet pan.

Now place the pan in oven and roast at 425°F (220°C) for 12 - 15 minutes. You need to roast on high heat 425°F to 450°F so that the florets will be crisp without the stems being tender and mushy.

You need to keep a close eye on them while roasting as it might get charred easily if roasted overtime. Remove once done and sprinkle salt and chilli flakes if required.

    Other Possible Variations

Cheesy- Make it cheesy with some grated parmesan just after you remove it hot from oven. If you want vegan, the use of vegan cheese or vegan parmesan for this purpose.

Classic salt and pepper - Just toss the florets with only salt and pepper. Skip chilli flakes.

Italian Flavour - Toss it with Italian seasoning before baking. Then sprinkle some cheese after it's roasted.

Asian Flavour - Toss is with sesame oil and ginger for baking. Sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds.

Korean Teriyaki - Marinate with teriyaki sauce and roast. Garnish with sesame seeds.
