Baby Corn Manchurian with Gravy
Baby Corn Manchurian makes a perfect side dish for your noodles or fried rice. It's very easy to prepare this dish and you have to make it like any of the manchurian dish. Whenever I make fried rice, I do make this sweet corn manchurian to accompany this. You can make this manchurian with little gravy or even as dry. - Boil baby corns.
- Coat them in mixture of flour and fry.
- Prepare gravy in Asian way and mix the fried corns.

Baby Corn Manchurian with Gravy
Ingredients
For Baby Corn Fry
- 10 Baby Corns Chop into 2 inch equal pieces
- 3 tbsp refined flour
- 2 tbsp Corn flour
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 6 - 8 tbsp Refined Oil
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
For Gravy
- 1 Onion roughly chopped
- 10 - 12 Garlic pods
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 2 Green Chillies cut into slits
- 1/2 cup Capsicum cut into cubes
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Water
- 2 tbsp Onion greens
Instructions
- Boil baby corn in water and a pinch of salt for 5 minutes.
- Make a paste with refined flour, corn flour, ginger garlic paste, black pepper, red chilli powder, salt. It should be of coating consistency
- Dip the baby corn slice in the batter mix. Shallow fry them in 2 tbsp hot oil.
- Remove from oil when done and both sides are cooked crisp.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic and saute for a minute. Add ginger garlic paste. and saute till it leaves raw smell.
- Add chopped onion and bell peppers. Cook till onion is translucent. Add
- Add soy sauce and vinegar to the pan.
- Add fried baby corns and saute for a minute.
- Then add water to it. season with salt and black pepper.
- Once it starts boiling, pour in mixture of corn flour and water to the boiling gravy. This will help in thickening the gravy.
- Turn off heat when it reach desired consistency. Garnish with spring onions and serve hot with noodles or fried rice.
How to make baby corn manchurian?
wash and clean baby corn. Boil them in salt & water for 3 - 5 minutes or till it's half cooked.
In the mean while prepare a slurry of flour and add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, pinch of salt and pepper powder.
Coat the baby corn in that slurry and shallow fry them. You can deep fry also.
Remove and keep on paper towel to get rid of excess oil.
Preparing gravy of baby corn manchurian
Heat oil in a pan. add crushed garlic, ginger garlic paste, diced onion and capsicum and stir fry.
Add soy sauce, vinegar and saute for a minute.
Add fried baby corn pieces to the pan.
Add chilli sauce and tomato sauce (optional). Season with salt and pepper. Add 1/2 cup water and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
Once it starts to boil, add slurry (mixture of corn starch and water) to the gravy slowly. keep stirring.
Baby corn manchurian is ready. Serve this with any of your Indo chinese preparation.
