Ingredients You'll Need To Make Aam Panna

    Raw Mango

    Sugar

Spices - roasted cumin powder, black salt or salt, chat masala, black pepper powder, or a pinch of red chili powder (paprika)

    How to make aam panna?

Making the aam panna is an easy task. You can make ahead them and store them in the refrigerator for a week or more.

Step 1 - Cook the raw mangoes

You can cook the mangoes in several ways. Either boil them in water in a saucepan or pressure cook for 5 minutes (1 - 2 whistles). Remove when pressure releases naturally. Wait for the mangoes to cool down a bit. Then peel off the skin of the mangoes and squeeze out the pulp in a bowl.

If you are using a saucepan to simmer, then peel off the skin using a peeler. Now roughly dice the mango and simmer for 20 - 25 minutes on low flame. When the mangoes look tender and cooked, turn off the heat and wait for them to cool down completely.

Step 2 - Separate the pulp and the seed

Now when the mangoes are cooked and tender, squeeze out the pulp and remove the seed part. Now place the pulp in a blender and pulse once.

Step 3 - Add sugar and spices

In the jar add sugar and spices. Blend to a puree. Now add more water to the blender and add some ice cubes to it. Blend once till all are mixed well. Taste and adjust the salt or chat masala.

A yummy sweet and tangy raw mango drink is ready in minutes. You can make them in large batches too. Blend the pulp and spices and refrigerate in an airtight container. When needed to serve add some water and ice cubes and stir to mix.
