Strawberries are a seasonal fruit and are plentifully available in cold weather in India (from October to January) and from April to June in the USA. June is the peak season for sweet strawberries there. It's a highly perishable fruit. So better to consume them fresh.
However, you can also refrigerate the strawberry es for a few days, but the quicker you eat them or u,se them, the better they taste. I make my strawberry compote, which I make often in season. Strawberry limeadeย is too good in the summer.
The smoothie is really delish when made with fresh, pulpy strawberries. However, you can enjoy the smoothies in other seasons as well with dried berries. But I love it more when made with fresh strawberries.
Adding banana to the red, sweet, tangy strawberries makes the smoothie more delicious and decadent.
How to make strawberry banana smoothie?
This is an easy recipe. There are no magic ingredients. This smoothie is made with just four ingredients: almond milk, fresh strawberries, banana, and maple syrup or agave. You can also add other toppings, such as nuts, fruits, granola, or oatmeal.
You can make this as a smoothie or smoothie bowl. Add less milk for a creamy smoothie bowl and more milk for a smoothie to serve in a glass.
You can also use frozen strawberries and frozen bananas to make your healthy smoothie. You can make this a smoothie or a smoothie bowl for your breakfast.
How to store the smoothie?
You can store this strawberry banana smoothie for 2-3 days in the refrigerator in glass bottles sealed with caps. Otherwise, make a puree of strawberries and refrigerate. When planning to make a smoothie in 1-2 days, add it to a banana, milk, and blend or juice it in a blender. Blend it smooth.
You can also freeze the smoothie. Remove from the freezer and defrost for 1 hour, or until it is in a state where you can eat it as a smoothie bowl or as ice creamโa great snack on hot summer days.

Ingredients
- 2 cups strawberries fresh or frozen
- 1 banana
- ยผ cup almond milk or dairy-free yogurt
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or agave if required sweetness
- 1 cup ice
Optional Toppings
- 2 tbsp chopped dry fruits
- 1 tbsp protein powder
- 1 tsp soaked chia seeds
Instructions

- Blend it for a minute or till smooth.
- Pour in a glass and add extra toppings of dry fruits.

- For smoothie bowl add only a little milk just enough to blend the ingredients.
- Add any extra toppings to the smoothie bowl.
