In crispy corn chaat, the crispy fried corn is either sauteed or assembled with onions, tomatoes, garlic, etc along with flavorful seasoning making this tangy, spicy, crunchy, and yummy appetizer.

Crispy Corn
Crispy corn chaat is a great party appetizer and an easy party snack item. You can make the crispy corn in 2 ways.
- Fried corn with finely chopped onions, green chili & coriander leaves, and making this a kind of salad
- Saute the fried corn with chopped onion and garlic, green chilies, and coriander leaves.
For that tangy flavor add lemon juice or vinegar. Vinegar is normally used while sauteeing with onion and garlic.
There is another healthy way of making corn chaat. That is different from this Corn Chaat as that is made from only boiled sweet corn. But for parties and get-togethers, this makes a perfect appetizer. The major task is frying the corn to make them crunchy and crispy.
How to make crispy corn chaat?
Ingredients you'll need-
For corn coating -
Fresh Corn kernels - boil them before frying. Also, cool them before adding flour.
Flour - all-purpose flour + cornstarch
Seasoning - paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Any Vegetable Oil - for deep frying
Other Ingredients -
Onion - finely chopped
Garlic - minced finely
Tomato - finely chopped
Spices - paprika or red chili powder, a pinch of salt, vinegar
Lemon juice - optional - while serving
Coriander leaves - handful of fresh finely chopped
Instructions -
- Boil corn kernels and cool it before adding any flour to it.
- Once it's cold enough, add refined flour and corn flour to it. Mix well. If required add 1 tbsp water but don't add more water. Make sure the corn kernels are just coated.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Drop the kernels into hot oil. But careful as it might burst spilling the oil all over. Cover the pan to avoid such a condition.
- Once the corn is fried well, it will float on the surface of the oil. Remove them from the oil and place them on a paper napkin
- Heat another pan and add 2 tbsp oil. Add chopped onion and garlic and saute till translucent.
- Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, and fried corn kernels. Add a pinch of salt, and vinegar and saute for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
Tips of cautiousness
Be careful while frying these coated corns in oil. After dropping them into oil, it starts to burst, spilling oil all over. So just be careful while dropping battered corn into oil. Do that as quickly as possible. Then immediately cover it with a lid for a few minutes.

- 1 cup Oil

- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 4 - 5 garlic minced
- 1 tsp vinegar
- ยผ tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika or red chili powder
- 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
- ยผ cup coriander leaves finely chopped
Instructions
