- Saute beans with garlic
Very simple and easy and hardly takes 15 minutes. Also, it doesn't take much pain for prepping. Just cut off top and bottom ends. All done.
Blanch the beans (3 Min + 2 min in Ice water)
Now before blanch, wash off thoroughly. Now blanch beans in water for 3 minutes. After that just remove beans from hot water and immerse in ice water for 2 minutes.
Toast Almonds (30 sec)
In a skillet or pan, heat a spoon full of olive oil on medium heat. Now saute sliced almonds for 20 - 30 seconds till it starts changing color. Don't over-brown the almonds. Toast on medium-low flame. Once done transfer to a clean bowl.
Saute beans with garlic (4 - 5 Min)
Now in same oil add a few chopped fresh garlic and saute for 10 - 15 seconds till it becomes fragrant and starts changing color slightly.
Now add blanched beans. Add salt to taste and pepper. You may add some red pepper flakes or chilli flakes to the beans to make it spicy. On medium flame saute for 3 - 5 minutes. Don't overcook as we need tender-crisp texture and not soggy ones. Keep stirring in between.
