Masala Toast Recipe | Mumbai Masala Toast Sandwich

Masala toast sandwich is an easy sandwich recipe. This is a popular street side snack in Mumbai.

Mumbai is a hub of corporates. Also it's a hub of variety of street foods. Outside corporate buildings or any street any corner you will always find street food vendors. Let it be panipuri or dosa or pav bhaji or sandwich stalls.

These stalls are always crowded. So street foods are very popular in Mumbai. Masala Toast is one of those famous and delicious street food.

However this is easy and quick to make this sandwich at home. This is perfect for breakfast and even for kids tiffin box recipe. Just reduce chillies when you are making for kids.

This has stuffing of mashed and sauteed potato mixture along with onions, tomatoes and bell peppers. Here I have skipped onions, tomatoes and bell peppers as my family members doesn't like that but you can add them always.

Whenever I make potato stuffing for sandwich, I make in two ways. In first way I only mix spices to mashed potato and mix well. Second way is to saute mashed potatoes with spices. Both ways it tastes great.

But specifically in this sandwich recipe I'm using sauteed mashed potatoes.
