    Must-Have Kitchen Countertop Appliances

Published: Feb 23, 2020 · Modified: May 28, 2026 by Ipsa Faujdar · This post may contain affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Please read my disclaimer.

Cooking is an art and science. People avoid cooking, thinking it's the most boring and time-taking job on earth. But trust me, once you fall in love with this, this's a trap, and you may not leave it ever in life. 🙂 Just like me. So, to make this art fun, we need some gadgets and kitchen appliances that will simplify cooking and make it more enjoyable. These are some essential cooking gadgets to simplify your cooking. Also, modern must-have countertop kitchen appliances help us by saving a huge amount of time in cooking.

    1. Food Processor:-

    2. Hand Blender:

This is also an essential gadget. It helps in quick blending. You don't need to cool the hot stuff for juicing. No need to transfer to other vessels. Just blend conveniently while cooking. Extremely beneficial for making soups and juices.

    3. Grill Sandwich Maker

Sandwich makers are typically required to make nice, crispy sandwiches. Normally, it doesn't get that crispy when we make it in a pan on the stovetop. But in equal time you will get nice crispy sandwiches. These are helpful for making quick lunchbox sandwiches or for snack time.

    4. Mixer Grinder

When a hand blender is for all wet grinding, a mixer grinder does the multi-function of grinding wet, dry, and whipping. This is also helpful in making batters for idlis, dosas, etc. A mixer grinder normally comes with different blades/jars for different grinding tasks. e.g., for wet grinding, dry grinding, small chutney jar.

    5. Hand Mixer

A high-speed mixer makes your life easier. It's a quintessential gadget for your kitchen. Let's talk about whipping cream, making cheese, and making the batter; this high-speed whisking tool also saves our hands and time. It takes only 2-3 minutes to make life easier with beautiful, delicious food. Must-have item for baking as well.

    6. Instant Pot

The Instant Pot is an electric pressure cooker. This is a must-have in the new era of cooking. This is a multi-function electric pressure cooker that takes less time compared to traditional cookware. You can pressure-cook, slow-cook, sauté, steam food, and many other applications. I'm preparing a separate note on Instant Pot. But in the meantime, let me tell you that not all Instant Pots available on Amazon or any platform are suitable for Indian voltage. So, while buying, be very sure to check whether this will be fit for Indian voltage or not.

    7. Convection Oven

A convection oven offers a variety of cooking options, in fact. This is better than solo ovens or microwaves as it's a combination of all functions. And the best part is you can cook your everyday curry, rice, puddings, and whatnot. I use it most for my everyday cooking as it's very quick. You can bake, roast, grill. It's an all-in-one oven.

You can find many solo microwave ovens or OTGs on the market. Also, they are cheaper than the convection oven because of lesser functionality.

    8. Coffee Maker

This is a must for coffee lovers. I'm a tea girl. So this is not necessary for me. But I would say you will love this coffee maker. It makes the best espresso or filtered coffee and simplifies the task of making coffee. Below are some recommendations for the best quality coffee makers. Also, these are not too expensive countertop kitchen appliances. At the same time, you have the luxury of spending less time during rush hours.

    9. Induction Cooktop

Induction heaters are electric cooktops and a smart alternative to traditional stovetops. A stovetop is a little risky for beginners, whereas induction cooking is more comfortable and convenient. However, different sets of cookware are compatible with induction heaters. And nowadays you can get utensils that are compatible with both stovetops and induction tops.
