Air Fryer tortilla chips are perfect quick snacks and appetizers. These are kid-friendly as well.

Serve with a quick dip like guacamole or salsa. Plus, there is no deep-frying. Perfect for game day snacks or for Cinco de Mayo. These are my favorite go-to vegan appetizers.
Tortilla chips are a crispy snack that is easy, quick, and healthy since we are omitting the deep-frying process. But these are still crispy when made with the air fryer. It saves a lot of time for baking in the oven.
Air Fryer Tortilla Chips
Air fryer tortilla chips are a delicious, healthy alternative to traditional fried chips. Made with just a few simple ingredients, they satisfy any snack craving.
Best of all, air fryer tortilla chips are much healthier than their fried counterparts, making them a great choice for those looking to eat smarter. So, make a batch of tortilla chips next time you're in the mood for a snack.
My boy loves these tortilla chips. This is a great way to use up the leftover tortillas, too. It takes no planning and preparation. Just cut the tortilla into triangles or any shape you wish. Season with salt and pepper. That's it. Set air fryer time and temperature. And you are done with a quick, crispy air fryer tortilla chips.

Things you'll need
These are quick and easy snacks made with only three ingredients: tortillas, salt/ seasonings, and oil to brush. That's all. I'm amazed to see how perfectly crispy the chips I got in just 3 minutes. And the chips are amazing, too.
Tortillas - Take flour tortillas or corn tortillas
Seasoning - Salt, cayenne pepper/ paprika (optional)
Olive oil - To brush the tortillas so that seasoning will stick to the tortillas
How to make air fryer tortilla chips?
Cut the tortillas into halves, Then each half to equal three parts. Make six parts in 1 tortilla, or make them smaller as desired. You can also use a cookie cutter for some fancy shapes for kids.
Now brush the pieces with a little oil seasoned with salt, paprika, or cayenne pepper. Paprika or Cayenne is optional, though. I added them because I love it a little spicy (not much). You can skip that or add any other specific seasoning to the tortillas.
The best way is first to brush the seasoned oil on both sides of the tortilla and then cut it into slices or triangles. This is easier than brushing each small piece with oil and seasoning.

Preheat the air fryer to 355 F or 180 C for 3 minutes. Place the tortilla pieces in the basket. You can brush the basket also. But not required. The tortilla won't stick to the basket.
Now start the air fryer at 355 F for 4 minutes. You can check at around 3 minutes and toss them once lightly. Remove it at the 4-minute mark.
If you need more crispy tortilla chips, increase the air fryer time to 1 minute. That would be enough for any air fryer.
Serve the tortilla chips with salsa or any of the dips.
Tips for perfect air fryer tortillas
A slight overlapping is all right. But don't arrange them in layers above one other.
If you have uneven pieces and place the pieces overlapping with each other, it's possible the smaller and top ones will get cooked earlier than the other ones.
So while you remove the basket to flip, you can remove the ones that are already cooked and look brown and crispy.
To avoid this, you may arrange the pieces in a single layer without overlapping them. And make tortilla chips in batches.

Flavor Variations
In a small bowl, add the spices and brush them on the tortillas before cooking.
Spicy Lemon Tortilla Chips - Cayenne pepper + Smoked Paprika + Salt + Lemon juice + oil
Ranch Tortilla Chips - Ranch seasoning + oil
Sweet Dessert Tortilla - Honey/ maple syrup + oil + cinnamon powder
How to store leftover chips?
Wait for the chips to get completely cold. Then, store in an air-tight jar for up to 2 weeks at room temperature.
