Which Chickpeas To Use For This Recipe - Soaked or Canned

Roasted chickpeas are made with cooked chickpeas. You can use canned or cooked chickpeas. If you are using raw chickpeas, soak for 8 hours and then cook until soft. Don't make them mushy, though. They should hold a firm shape. You can also cook the chickpeas in an instant pot.

How to make air fryer chickpeas?

Take a can of chickpeas or make your homemade boiled chickpeas. Drain the canned chickpeas and wash them in a sieve. Dry with a clean kitchen towel. Place them in a large mixing bowl.

Add the desired seasoning to the bowl with a drizzle of some olive oil. Toss to mix them thoroughly.

Preheat the air fryer to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) for 2 - 3 minutes. Transfer the chickpeas to the basket and spread them evenly. Air fry for 14 - 15 minutes at 400ยฐF (200ยฐC), shaking halfway through, until crispy.

Once the chickpeas reach the desired crispiness, remove them from the basket and transfer them to a clean plate. Allow them to cool completely to room temperature. Once at room temperature, store them in an airtight jar.
