    Fig banana smoothie

Fig and Banana Smoothie is one of the best drinks to have during pregnancy and post-delivery of the baby. This is dedicated to all new mummies (new mothers). All ingredients are safe to take during pregnancy and breastfeeding. This helps reduce those extra kilos at the same time.

When you are breastfeeding, you should be very careful about your food intake. You can not starve to shed those extra pounds, and at the same time, you can't just take anything blindly, as it will have a direct impact on the very sensitive newborn. We should take the utmost care of them and so of ourselves as well.

We all struggle to lose our tummies post-delivery. It's a new life for mothers, too. As new mothers, we need time and emotional stability to get used to the circumstances where we will get less sleep and less time for ourselves. Hence, we always tend to ignore our bodies.

But you know, this is the time when we should actually take equal care of our body and soul at large. We need to be happy, and then only we can give and spread that happiness to our little angels and rockstars. The environment plays a great role in the overall growth of the baby.

While not starving on food, we shall focus on nutrient intake. And if you are a breastfeeding mother, then you are going to transfer the same to the baby. So this smoothie is a rich and fibrous health drink that not only gives you all the nutrients and minerals of nuts and fruits but also keeps you full for a longer time.

How do you make a fig banana breakfast smoothie?

    Fig banana smoothie

This fig and banana smoothie has banana, fig, almonds, pistachios, walnuts, honey and milk.

I prefer skimmed milk or cow milk, as they are lighter and easily digested by babies. If you are vegan, replace this with almond milk and remove honey from your list. You will get the natural sweetness of figs and bananas.

Personally, I like this drink without any additional sweetener, like sugar or honey. If you are pregnant or about to become a mother, avoid adding sugar to your food.

Don't add cashews to the drink, as it will increase weight.

    Vegan Breakfast Smoothie Option

If you are vegan, you may replace cow milk with non-dairy milk like almond or soy milk. Soy milk is the best source of protein among non-dairy milk. However, almond milk is also an excellent option for this smoothie recipe.

Again, skip honey. You may replace it with maple syrup. But the natural sweetener of figs and bananas is enough. You may not need extra sweetener.

Is almond milk safe during breastfeeding?

Yes, almonds are safe for breastfeeding mothers. This is healthy and rich in protein and calcium. This also increases new mothers' creaminess, sweetness, and breast milk intake.

This fig and banana smoothie takes less than 5 minutes to make and is super easy, delicious, and healthy for anybody.
