Strawberry limeade is a sweet summer or spring treat made with only three ingredients. This is one of the best summer drinks and helps in refreshing too.

I love strawberries. These are my favorites after mangoes. The fact that we don't get our favorite fruits all year round is because they are seasonal.
Strawberries are widely available in winter and spring in this region. With the summer heat, we don't get too many of them. Although these fruits are available in some places during the summer, especially between April and July, it is the peak season for the sweetest strawberries.
These are easily perishable and delicate fruits. I love these little red heart-shaped fruits so much. I often make strawberry compote, jam, strawberry milk, and this strawberry limeade when strawberries are in season. But more than that, I love to eat them fresh.
If you are looking for some soothing summer drinks, you are in the right place. Here is a list of 10+ summer drink recipes available on my blog right now. It also includes some traditional summer drinks. Choose yours and cool yourself this summer.

Strawberry Limeade
Strawberry Limeade is a sweet and sour drink made with fresh strawberry puree and some fresh lime juice, along with a sweetener like sugar syrup. You can also make lemonade with fresh lemon juice. Either way, this is so delicious and soothing.
For freshness, herbs play an important role in summer drinks. Here I have taken mint leaves, which are apparently the best companion for almost all summer drinks. This is because they also possess naturally cooling properties.
However, you can also add basil leaves. The freshness of the basil leaves can also do wonders in enhancing the flavor of the summer drinks, especially this strawberry limeade.
In the summer, I make my sugar syrup well in advance and refrigerate it in an airtight jar for 10-14 days (up to 2 weeks) if it lasts. Whenever you need to make cooling summer drinks, add the syrup to fruit juice or puree, and then mix with sparkling water, drinking soda, or water, depending on the type of drink you are making.

Instructions to make strawberry limeade
Make sugar syrup
In a saucepan, add an equal amount of water and sugar. Bring them to a boil and simmer until all the sugar has melted. Stir once to make sure all sugar is dissolved. Turn off the heat. Don't wait to make strings. Allow it to cool down to room temperature. Then transfer to a glass jar covered with a lid.
Making strawberry puree
Clean and dice the strawberries into quarters. Add half a cup of water and blend until smooth in a blender. Now transfer the strawberry juice to a large pitcher. This will help to remove the chunky parts from the juice.
Making the limeade
Now, to the pitcher of strawberry puree, add the lime juice, water, and sugar syrup. Give them a nice stir. Strawberry limeade is ready. Chill for an hour before serving.
Add mint leaves and ice cubes to the serving glass, then pour in the chilled limeade over them.
