Vegan Flour Tortillas
Vegan flour tortillas makes a great base for a variety of dishes, such as
tacos, burritos, and quesadillas
.

Ingredients

cups
whole wheat flour
1
tsp
olive oil

salt
or as per taste
water as required to make a dough
Instructions
In a bowl add flour, salt, oil. Mix them once.
Now add water gradually mixing the ingredients to make a dough.
The consistency of the dough shouldn't be very tight or too soft.
Once dough is formed, knead it well for 5 - 7 minutes.
Keep it covered and let rest for 5 minutes more.
After 5 minutes, remove and knead once more for a minute.
Now divide the dough into equal portions.
Dust the surface lightly and with help of a rolling pin, roll them to thin tortillas.
Heat a griddle on medium high heat.
Place the rolled tortilla on the griddle.
After 20 - 30 seconds it will start to puff with small air pockets.
Wait for few more seconds to let it puff nicely.
Aound 1 minute, flip the tortilla and cook the other side also for 20 - 30 seconds.
Remove once it's puffed up well with dark brown patches on both the ends.
Repeat for all the dough and tortillas.
Store well and serve hot.
