Batata harra (Spicy Lebanese Potatoes) is a mouthwatering Middle Eastern dish. This is a tantalizing blend of flavors and textures that makes simple potatoes a delicious side dish or appetizer.
Peel off the skin and dice the potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
Wash the potatoes once to remove the excess starch. This will make potatoes crispier.
Wipe the potatoes with a clean kitchen towel.
Now drizzle extra virgin olive oil and salt.
Toss to mix and transfer the potatoes to a lined baking tray.
Bake them in a preheated oven at 400F for 30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
You can also air fry the potatoes which is a quicker method to roast potatoes. Air fry the seasoned potatoes at 400 F for 12 - 15 minutes in preheated air fryer. Flip them halfway through.
In a pan heat olive oil.
Once the oil is hot, add minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and cilantro leaves.
Saute till garlic starts to turn golden.
Add the roasted potatoes to the pan.
Toss to mix potatoes with the herbs and seasonings in the pan.
Drizzle some lemon juice over it. Batata harra is ready to be served.
Add some more fresh cilantro leaves while serving.
