Clean and wipe the peppers dry with a kitchen napkin.
Remove the crown and the core with seeds.
Deseed the peppers and slice them into pieces.
In the meanwhile preheat the air fryer at 400 F for 3 minutes.
Place the sliced peppers in a large mixing bowl.
Add in the seasonings, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika/ cayenne pepper, etc.
Toss to mix them well.
Then transfer the seasoned bell peppers to the preheated air fryer basket.
Cook at 400° F for 10 - 12 minutes depending on the doneness you want. Shake them in halfways.
Remove once the peppers are tender with charred edges or at required doneness.
Drizzle some lemon juice and fresh herbs. And serve them hot.

Extra Tips
If you are cooking in larger quantities, it may take more time.
Never overcrowd the air fryer basket with peppers. They may take even longer since all will not get equal heat and may turn soggy with moisture too.
If cooking for a large family, make it in batches rather than for even and fast cooking.
Every air fryer is different. So expect 2 - 3 minutes of variation from the said timing. Keep an eye on them after the 8-minute mark. Air frying longer may result in burnt peppers.
